Love at the Rally

We were the music ministry for the Central-A Evangelization Rally held at the Mandaluyong Gym last Sunday Feb18 1-5pm.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
- John 13:34

But the greatest of these is....

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

At the February CFC Social Ministries Forum and 4BARS

We were the music ministry for the CFC Social Ministries Breakfast Forum at the Gabaldon Room of Club Filipino last Saturday Feb10.

These fora are regularly held every month by the CFC Social Ministries. For this month of February, the speaker was Atty. Alex Lacson, talking about "Good Citizenship". Atty. Lacson is the author of the book "12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do To Help Our Country".

The day also launched the 4 BARS, four singing members of STMA. They were taught by our very own arranger-extraordinaire Nonong Sampang. They sang "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" and "Blowing in the Wind". Members of the 4BARS are:
- Former Deputy Executive Secretary Bro. Joe Tale
- Former COA Commissioner Bro. Nonoy Dalman
- Atty. Bro Nides Respicio
- Justice Bro. Joey Reyes

Buy Pilipino. See you in the next forum?

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good....
-Titus 3

By the way, here's an interesting read about Alex Lacson and Max Soliven:

9 Degrees for 29AD's

B A G U I O !!!
29AD was one of the two bands who made music during the recent CFC Mission Core HOPE Weekend held at Camp John Hay, Baguio, playing for the entertainment night Saturday February3. It was 9 degrees outside but because of the music, the dancing, the laughter, and the Holy Spirit, it was hot on the convention center where 29AD performed!

Missions like these are always a long story. And no words could ever describe it. It's best to experience it. So... see you in the next mission!?!

*** Missionary Hymn***
Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, praise His name;
proclaim His salvation day after day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
His marvelous deeds among all peoples.

--- Psalm 96

And the stage!!!
